Fire Detection Systems

Automatic Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FIP) are found in commercial and high-density residential buildings and consist of a series of sensors and monitoring equipment, typically arranged into zones, that detect fire and activate alarms and appropriate systems, such as:

  1. Building Management Systems - BMS (Such as Lift Controllers, Door Controllers, Access Control & Security Systems)
  2. Ventilation Systems - HVAC (Air Conditioning, Air Pressurisation - Stairs Etc, Smoke spill and isolation systems)
  3. Alarm Signaling Equipment - ASE to call Fire Brigade
  4. Emergency Warning and Intercommunication Systems - EWIS (Sound Systems for Emergency Purposes - SSEP)
  5. Building occupant warning systems - BOWS (Alarm and Evacuation Tone Generation)
