FM-200 HFC-227ea is a synthetic, waterless fire suppressant stored as a liquid and dispersed as gas within 10 seconds of detection that works by reducing heat within a fire, suppressing combustion. Electrically non-conductive, the FM-200 agent, also known as HFC-227ea, is a Fast, clean & safe, internationally accepted clean agent Gas Suppression Systems for providing reliable and effective fire protection solutions for high-value assets processes and locations.

FM200, also known as HFC-227ea, Is a synthetic Suppression clean agent that has no odour or colour that leaves no residue and is electrically non-conductive.

HFC-227ea is exceptionally safe for normally occupied spaces with the right fire suppression design as it’s an active compound found as a propellant in medical inhalers.

FM-200, HFC-227ea or heptafluoropropane (CF3CHFCF3) is a halocarbon with zero Ozone Depleting Potential (ODP) and was designed to replace Halon 1301. Because it’s stored as a liquid, requiring relatively low pressures to keep it compressed enough to stay in its liquid form, FM-200 is suitable for storage in welded high-pressure cylinders, saving space and money.

Like all other Synthetic Fire Suppression Agents, FM200 System Design requires specialist training and knowledge, much of which only comes from experience. The Primary Design consideration for FM200 Fire Suppression Systems is that the cylinders are required to be located immediately adjacent to (and sometimes within) the protected area.

Designing an FM-200 fire suppression system poses many technical challenges. It requires many additional considerations to correctly eliminate the risk to critical assets caused by fire or water-based extinguishing agents. With many decades of suppression experience, our Gas Suppression Design team have the knowledge and expertise to assist our clients.

FSP offers Exchange FM200 Cylinders Australia-wide to allow facilities to return to operational status quickly after a discharge. We can deliver the Sapphire Exchange Cylinders directly to the site and facilitate removal of the empty FM-200 cylinders and installation of the new, or work with your team as required. “Flexibility of Service” is one of our defining principles.
