The EA0408
Electromagnetic Door
Holder is designed to hold
fire and smoke doors open
under normal conditions,
but automatically close
under their own spring
return mechanism when a
fire or smoke alarm system
is activated. The door is held open by the magnetic force between an electromagnet mounted on the wall
behind the door and a keeper fixed to the back of the door. When the electrical supply to the electromagnet is
interrupted, the electromagnet is de-energised and the door automatically closes.
