Conventional Fire Panels

Conventional Fire Indicator Panels

Conventional Fire Alarm Systems are non-addressable solutions that provide detection on a per-circuit level. This system is generally easier to install and maintain than its addressable counterpart but can be harder to detect faults.

Conventional Fire panels are no longer suitable for new installations; however, existing systems can be maintained in accordance with the applicable standard.

FSP is an authorised Tyco fire products distributor and we stock and sell many conventional Fire Alarm Panels which are available below.

A Fire Indicator Panel (FIP) is critical component in modern buildings. FIPs are designed to perform multiple functions:

  1. A FIP receives information from smoke and fire detection devices
  2. A FIP relays any detected fire to building occupants via audible announcements and tones
  3. A FIP relays the detection status to the Fire Brigade via 3rd party monitoring services
  4. A FIP provides a point of reference for important information for first responders, such as the location of the detected fire(s)

Fire Indicator Panels also provide:

  1. Automatic control of fire safety equipment or systems
  2. Interfacing to HVAC and other building systems to activate associated systems
  3. Monitoring the detection devices for operational integrity.

There are essentually only two types of Fire Indication Panels: conventional fire indicator panels & addressable panels.
